Telephone Administered Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Sessions

Question: What is telephone administered cognitive behavioural therapy? Answer: Telephone counselling therapy is similar to seeing a counsellor face to face for therapy but there is no travelling for either client or therapist and can be conducted in any setting where there is use of a telephone so is fully adaptable to a client,s lifestyle and circumstances. Telephone administered CBT sessions are particularly useful to people who have agoraphobia, panic attacks, disabled, housebound, have   young children, are carers, have busy schedules and live in remote areas.

Answer: Although there are many countries that have English as their first language I am based in Surrey, England and I feel that I have more empathy and understanding of the cultural background, lifestyle and issues that are relevant to residents of England, Scotland and Wales and their UK counties.

Question: Can cognitive behavioural therapy be effective for telephone counselling? Answer:
I use telephone administered cognitive behavioural therapy in my UK based telephone counselling therapy work as it is particularly usefull for confidence building, anxiety management, panic attacks, redundancy issues, low self esteem, problem solving and challenging negative thinking patterns and behaviour etc.  Telephone administered CBT also focuses on homework tasks outside of the telephone sessions to encourage and enable the client to make ongoing changes on a day to day basis.

Question: What is the process involved in your UK telephone counselling therapy sessions?
Answer: The first step in the process is to contact me either by email, skype ( simon.hillier2 is my Skype username ) or telephone so I can make a free initial assessment of your therapy needs and gain some background into your own particular problem to see if I can be of help to you-there is absolutely no obligation to commence telephone counselling at this stage. If you feel that this will help you we would then agree a date and time for your telephone counselling therapy sessions to start after you have made your first payment. The telephone counselling sessions will be relevant to the issues that you are dealing with such as depression, panic attacks, low self esteem, assertiveness, social anxiety, motivation, over-worrying etc to help and guide you through the process. A typical telephone administered cognitive behavioural therapy session lasts an hour and can be booked for between 9am and 9pm Monday to Friday and at certain times on a Saturday or Sunday weekend depending on availability. I pay for the phone call to you so please make sure you are available and ready because the sessions are pre-paid. If 24 hour notice is given we simply arrange a date and time that is more suitable for your particular commitments and lifestyle.
